The National Coupling TO-4-B-58-PK-PK Safety Valve is a direct-acting safety valve designed to protect hydraulic systems from excessive pressure. It is composed of a nickel-plated brass body, a silicone diaphragm, a spring, and a discharge valve.
When fluid pressure rises above the valve's set point, the diaphragm is pressed and the spring is compressed. When the spring force equals the fluid force, the diaphragm opens the discharge valve. Fluid then flows through the discharge valve, reducing fluid pressure.
