A vibration transmitter is a device used to monitor and measure mechanical vibrations in equipment and structures. This type of transmitter converts mechanical vibrations into electrical signals that can be analyzed and used for continuous monitoring, diagnosis, and predictive maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment.
The vibration transmitter generally operates based on vibration sensors, such as accelerometers or velocimeters, which detect the magnitude and frequency of vibrations. The sensor converts the mechanical vibrations into an electrical signal which is then amplified, filtered, and processed by the transmitter to generate a usable output.
The AMS 9420 wireless vibration transmitter provides vibration information via a self-organizing and highly reliable wireless network for use by operation and maintenance personnel. With many of the same advantages as the AMS Wireless Vibration Monitor, it is the preferred device for the following applications:
When the sensor location is not ideal for network formation or will be negatively affected by the environment.
When a display is needed on site.
When a different type of accelerometer is needed (high temperature) or preferred (already installed)
When batteries are not an acceptable power source due to location or general performance concerns
When energy harvesting is desired to operate the device.
