Principle of Operation:
A current transformer operates based on the principle of electromagnetism, where the current flowing through the primary circuit (high current circuit) generates a magnetic field that induces a proportional current in the secondary circuit (low current circuit).
The current in the secondary circuit is a fraction of the current in the primary circuit, depending on the transformation ratio (ratio between the number of turns in the primary and secondary windings).
