The TRX-P type power transducer is used to convert a specific value of active or reactive power, respectively, into a direct current or voltage signal, proportional to the measured value.
Operating Principle
The AC input voltages and currents, through auxiliary transformers, are converted into appropriate signals which are sent to a multiplying circuit that operates on the TDM (Time Division Multiplication) principle, instantaneously multiplying the voltage and current signals. The resulting signal from this multiplication is amplified and converted into an output signal independent of the load, which can be direct voltage or current. The multiplying and amplifying circuits are powered by an auxiliary voltage source, galvanically isolated through a suitable transformer to the circuit.
