The Alutal BR-EX D IIC T6 GB IP66 NCC 6788/10X thermocouple is a temperature sensor specifically designed for explosive atmospheres. It combines a conventional thermocouple sensor with an explosion-proof connection head, making it suitable for use in hazardous industrial environments.
A thermocouple is a temperature sensor consisting of two metal wires of different materials, joined at one end called the "hot junction." When this junction is heated or cooled, it generates an electrical voltage (electromotive force) that is proportional to the temperature difference between the hot junction and the cold junction (reference), usually located at the opposite end of the wires. This voltage can be measured and converted into a temperature reading.
