The CPU6 module performs the
system processing and control functions. This board houses the
main 16-bit microprocessor, non-volatile memory (EPROM) for the
operating system software, electrically erasable memory (Flash-EPROM)
serial communication resources, and parallel interface ports.
The CPU6A module is programmed via the serial channel using a direct connection cable
to a PC computer, with the BCM compiler software
- 128 Kbytes of EPROM for the operating system.
- 32 Kbytes of Flash-EPROM for the user program.
- 64 Kbytes of RAM for system and user variables, with battery retention.
- One standard RS232 serial communication channel, used for programming and monitoring.
- One standard RS485 serial communication channel, used for interconnecting up to 32 devices in a
