The flangeless design of the Rosemount 8711 Wafer Magnetic Flow Meter sensor makes it an economical, compact, and lightweight alternative to flanged magnetic flow meters. Choose from a wide variety of robust lining options and electrode materials compatible with virtually all applications, from highly corrosive liquids to fibrous slurries, often considered difficult to measure with other devices. For easy installation, alignment spacer kits are provided with each 8711 meter to center the sensor in the process line.
A magnetic flow meter sensor is a type of sensor used in conjunction with magnetic flow meters to measure the flow rate of conductive liquids. These sensors are an integral part of magnetic flow meters and are responsible for detecting the magnetic field generated by the liquid flow.
Magnetic flow meter sensors typically consist of coils or electrodes positioned within the flow meter. As the liquid flows through the meter, the magnetic field induces electrical currents in the coils or electrodes.
