A motor circuit breaker, also known as a motor protection circuit breaker or magnetic motor circuit breaker, is an electrical protection device specifically designed to protect electric motors against overcurrents, short circuits, and overloads. It combines the functions of a conventional circuit breaker with those of a thermal overload relay, providing comprehensive protection for electric motors.
The MS325-1 manual motor starter is a device with a width of 54 mm and a rated operational current of Ie = 1.0 A. This device is used for manually switching motors ON and OFF and reliably protecting them without the need for a fuse against short-circuits, overload and phase failures. The manual motor starter offers a rated short-circuit breaking capacity Ics = 100 kA at 400 VAC and trip class 10A. Other features are the integrated disconnect function, temperature compensation, trip-free mechanism and a rotary handle with a clear switch position indication. The manual motor starter is suitable for three- and single-phase applications. Auxiliary contacts, signaling contacts, undervoltage releases, shunt trips, 3-phase busbars, power feed blocks and locking devices for protection against unauthorized changes are available as accessories.
