The circuit breaker is composed of a plastic body, a tripping coil, a tripping mechanism, a main contact and an auxiliary contact. The plastic body protects the internal components of the circuit breaker and also provides a mounting surface. The tripping coil is responsible for generating the magnetic field that trips the circuit breaker. The tripping mechanism is responsible for opening the main contacts when the circuit breaker trips. The main contacts are responsible for connecting and disconnecting the electrical circuit. The auxiliary contact is an additional contact that can be used for signaling or control.
