The FlexVu Model UD10 is recommended for applications requiring a gas detector with digital readout of detected gas levels, as well as a 4–20 mA analog output with HART, relay contacts, and RS485 Modbus. The UD10 is designed for use with Det-Tronics gas detectors such as the GT3000, PIR9400, PIRECL, PIRECL CO2, OPECL, C706x, Model 505/CGS, CGS, NTMOS, ATX100/AV10, PIRDUCT or LS2000, as well as generic 4–20 mA linear sensors. The display unit is designed and approved as a “standalone” device and performs all the functions of a gas controller. Gas concentration and unit of measurement are indicated on a digital display. The display unit provides an isolated/non-isolated 4–20 mA DC linear output signal (with HART) corresponding to the detected gas concentration. All electronics are enclosed in an aluminum or stainless steel explosion-proof housing. The display unit is used with a single detector that can be directly coupled to the UD10 or remotely located using a sensor termination box. The UD10 features non-intrusive calibration. A magnet is used to perform calibration and also to navigate the UD10's internal menu.
The Det-Tronics UD10S5N25SB2 is an explosion-proof universal display unit, designed to monitor and display gas concentrations in industrial environments. This device is compatible with various Det-Tronics gas detectors, as well as generic sensors that use a 4–20 mA signal.
Operating voltage: 24 VDC nominal, with an operating range between 18 and 30 VDC.
Power consumption: Variable according to operating state:
No alarm: 1.5 W @ 24 VDC.
In alarm: 3 W @ 24 VDC (20 mA output and all three alarm relays energized).
Backlit display activated: additional 0.5 W consumption.
Heater activated: additional 3.5 W consumption.
Maximum consumption in alarm, with heater and backlight activated: 7 W @ 30 VDC.
