The General Electric KTD-410 protocol converter translates the Digiplex RS422 protocol to the ASCII RS-232 protocol and vice versa, allowing data to be transferred over standard telephone or fiber optic lines that do not accept continuous data. You can program the converter to operate in Digiplex RS422 in/ASCII RS232 out or ASCII RS232
