Altus Digital I/O Base PO6001

An analog I/O (Input/Output) base refers to a physical structure or module in an automation or control system that allows the connection of analog I/O modules. These modules are designed to handle analog signals, which are continuously variable as opposed to digital signals that have discrete states, such as 0 or 1.
In industrial control and automation systems, analog input can represent a wide variety of values, such as temperatures, pressures, liquid levels, speeds, and other physical quantities that can be measured continuously. Analog outputs, on the other hand, are used to send proportional signals to external equipment or processes that require continuous control.
The analog I/O base provides a means to connect and integrate specific analog input and output modules into a larger system. These modules typically include analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) for inputs and digital-to-analog converters (DACs) for outputs.
The set of integrated bases of the Ponto Series allows direct connection of field signals to electronic modules.
This system eliminates the need for intermediate terminals and fuse holders in the cabinet and allows hot swapping of the
modules without cable disconnection. The bases are available with highly reliable spring-type terminals. The spectrum of
available options covers all types of needs for process automation or machine applications.

- Analog version with ambient temperature sensor element (cold junction)
- Compatible with GBL communication standard
