A digital ammeter is a measuring instrument used to measure electric current in a circuit. It displays the current in digital format, offering a clear and precise reading, in contrast to analog ammeters, which use a pointer and a graduated scale.
The instrument displays current values on a single three-digit display (red LEDs) in two ways. The mode selection is done using a button located on the front panel.
-Alternating Mode: Current indications alternate, with each being displayed for approximately 5 seconds. LEDs 1, 2, and 3 on the front panel indicate which current is being displayed.
-Fixed Mode: The value of one of the pre-selected phases is displayed permanently.
The selection of the display mode (fixed or alternating) is sequential. When turned on, the instrument automatically enters alternating mode, and by pressing the button repeatedly, the modes change to 1 (permanent current 1), 2 (permanent current 2), 3 (permanent current 3), alternating, and then back to 1 (permanent current 1).
